A little bit about me...

I'm a seasoned broadcaster, writer, journalist, podcaster, voiceover artist and MC (and occasional) musician in one form or another (with a little break here and there) since 1978.

I've spent the majority of my recent radio time with KCLR, although my first stint behind the mic was in the the pirate days of the 1970s and early 1980s. Things may have changed, but not the fundamentals.

I am a musician and performed in a variety of professional and semi professional settings,

Since 2005, I've presented and produced a wide variety of radio shows across music, news, current affairs, religious programming and sports in both Irish and English. In 2020, I was shortlisted for an IMRO Radio Award and have been nominated for the Hot Press Radio DJ awards in 2021,  2022 and 2023, getting 3rd place (a 'podium finish' as my sports colleagues called it) in 2024. I was also nominated for an Oireachtas award for Irish Language Broadcasting in 2022.

I provide voice-over services for radio ads, theatre productions and a growing number of corporate videos in both English and Irish.

I have produced podcasts in multiple creative areas and in 2019, I produced and presented a 5-part radio documentary, funded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (now Coimisiún na Meán). I've also provided sound design and technical audio services to a number of radio dramas. I have also produced, engineered and provided sound design for a number of radio dram productions.

I've been heavily involved in the creative arts in Kilkenny across its many music and Arts festivals since the early 1990s. I've compered and continue to provide MC services across a variety of festivals and events and lecture on media in both informal and informal settings.

I can bring my experience in storytelling and broadcasting in a variety of formats and settings.
